How to use the waterslides
Based on our experience gained and the information received from the operators, as well as from the waterslides’ users, it is very important to inform you briefly how to use our waterslides to find the greatest joy in them.
The operator is required to install a proper information board in the form of pictograms indicating the basic information about the use of the waterslide in the starting zone of each waterslide. The given waterslide’s classification according to the degree of difficulty, the prescribed sliding position, the age limits of use, the water depth in the plunge pool and the route how to leave the zone of arrival as quickly as possible must be indicated. It is the best interest of the waterslide’s users to read the information board thoroughly before sliding and follow such instructions completely.
Any jewellery, wristwatch, necklace, ankle chain, bracelet, ring and earrings must be removed before the start of the slide, because they may injure the rider’s body and damage the sliding surface permanently. Users wearing body jewellery are asked to be extra careful. Make sure that there are no hard, free-pendent or pendulous metal objects on the swimming suit or in the pockets. Negligent attitude and metal clasps on the ladies’ swimming suits and the various hairpins can result in serious injuries or damage.
The supervisory personnel instructed to enforce the safe and proper use of the waterslides is responsible for informing the riders of the proper method of sliding in a personalized manner. This is especially important before the start of the first slide. Some guests get a fright prior to the first slide and they should be informed that the user can influence the speed of the slide arbitrarily and freely.
The greater the sliding surface the rider’s body directly contacts, the lower the speed. The more relaxed one’s muscles are during the slide, i.e. in a “bag” position, the more one lets to be drifted by the tide, the more one lies on the water, the faster the arrival. The speed of the slide can be reduced by about 30% if the rider wears short-sleeved shirt and short pants instead of or over their swimming suit.
The guests should be informed that in case of excessive acceleration and open slides, the speed can be significantly reduced if one sits up from the lying position, this way the rider may even come to a halt on a slide with a lower slope. The tracks of our slides are optimized to ensure that riding even for a person weighing 100 kg will be perfectly safe and maximally enjoyable. Guests above this weight are asked not to use certain slide types.
During sliding avoid stiff or cramped position and sudden braking with the elbows, palms, forearms and feet, since this may result in serious bruises and other injuries of the skin. Our slides are designed and built properly, the rider does not need to have fear from leaving the route unexpectedly, from being drifted out in curves; the rider slides safely along the whole length of the slide.
Only one person is allowed to slide at a time; the supervisory person is assisted in following this very important rule by an automatic start-stop signal system. The parts of this electronic starting system are the red and green lamps positioned at slide starter tub. Obviously, the next rider can start sliding down when both the lifeguard and the green light indicate it clearly. Leave the plunge pool in the indicated direction as soon as possible to avoid any collision with the next rider.
If the above rules are followed and the waterslide is used properly, it will give much fun.
